Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 8, 2026 · Last Updated: March 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Arfhe Wallet ("the Extension", "the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Arfhe Wallet is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet browser extension that:

  • Generates and manages cryptographic key pairs for Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains
  • Enables sending, receiving, and swapping digital assets
  • Provides Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) privacy features via the Fhenix protocol
  • Connects to decentralized applications (dApps) via WalletConnect

3. Self-Custody & User Responsibility

3.1 You Control Your Keys

Arfhe Wallet is a non-custodial wallet. This means:

  • You are solely responsible for your private keys, recovery phrases (mnemonics), and passwords.
  • We do not have access to your keys, passwords, or funds.
  • We cannot recover lost keys, passwords, or assets.
  • We cannot reverse, cancel, or modify blockchain transactions.

3.2 Backup Responsibility

  • You must securely back up your recovery phrase (mnemonic) when creating a wallet.
  • If you lose your recovery phrase and password, your funds are permanently inaccessible.
  • We strongly recommend storing your recovery phrase offline in a secure location.

3.3 Password Security

  • Your wallet password encrypts your private keys locally.
  • Choose a strong, unique password.
  • We cannot reset or recover your password.

4. Risks

4.1 Cryptocurrency Risks

By using Arfhe Wallet, you acknowledge and accept:

  • Volatility — Cryptocurrency values can fluctuate dramatically.
  • Irreversibility — Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed.
  • Network risks — Blockchain networks may experience congestion, outages, or forks.
  • Regulatory risk — Cryptocurrency regulations vary by jurisdiction and may change.

4.2 Smart Contract Risks

  • dApps and smart contracts you interact with are created by third parties.
  • We do not audit, endorse, or guarantee third-party smart contracts.
  • You should review and understand transactions before approving them.

4.3 FHE Technology Risks

  • FHE features (shield/unshield) are based on the Fhenix protocol, which is in active development.
  • Testnet tokens used with FHE features have no monetary value.
  • FHE operations may have longer processing times than standard transactions.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use Arfhe Wallet for:

  • Any illegal activity, including money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion
  • Fraudulent or deceptive activities
  • Circumventing any applicable laws or regulations

11. Termination

  • You may stop using Arfhe Wallet at any time by uninstalling the Extension.
